LOCATION: Vilaboa

In the northern part of the San Simón inlet is the municipality of Vilaboa, with ports such as Santa Cristina de Cobres, dedicated to the extraction of bivalves and artisanal fishing, and San Adrián de Cobres, where we can find small boats that serve the mussel farms. A visit to the old Ulló salt flats, which date back to the 17th century and were recently restored, is a must. A large dam retained the sea water in them, so it could subsequently evaporate so as to use such a valuable asset as salt in the conservation of food.
