The economic development of Cangas had a great relationship with the sea throughout the twentieth century. A great example of the history of its industry is the building of the old Massó factory, a canning complex built in 1941 that had the latest technology of the time and gave work to a good part of Cangas’ inhabitants. Nowadays, everyone who visits this fishing village will be able to enjoy such outstanding natural spaces as Costa da Vela and its excellent beaches, visit the fish market or gastronomic events such as the Feast for the Exaltation of the Razor Clam from Cíes or the Feast of the Goose Barnacle.
