This town council has two ports: Ribadeo, with a coastal fleet, and Rinlo, known for its ancient live seafood holding centres dedicated to the breeding of spider crab and spiny lobster. But without a doubt Rinlo’s most outstanding figure for fishing are its goose barnacle gathers, which besides going out to fish, are one of the territory’s tourist attractions. Every summer, this fishing village hosts the Festa do Percebe (Percebe Festival), a gastronomic event that offers the opportunity to also taste other local seafood.
