LOCATION: Narón

Located among the eight municipalities with the most population in Galicia, Narón, the fourth in the province of A Coruña, has the privilege of being right in the centre of the Ferrol estuary, in this way supplying many of the menus of its restaurants with local products with an undeniable freshness. The clam and mussel festival is a compulsory annual event in the parish of San Mateo de Trasancos, a celebration of marine gastronomy that is joined by the best from the land of Naron with the celebration of O Pemento do Couto, a local variety that resembles the Padrón pepper and that has the European Union’s Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) seal since 2010.
