Gastronomy is one of the main attractions of region of Ferrol and of the whole of Galicia. Grilled, Galician-style or ‘caldeirada’ (fish stew). Freshly caught fish and seafood from Ferrol estuary are cooked in its inns and restaurants to suit all tastes. On the menus, the cockles and clams stand out, and in some places we find the Pías species, which is of great culinary value, collected both at the bottom of the estuary as well as extracted from the area of the castles of San Felipe and La Palma.
