Cariño’s gastronomy mixes the best of its two worlds: the land, with meat from the Sierra de A Capelada, and the sea, where a fleet of coastal fishing and shell fishing catch species such as the cockle or the sardine. Its gastronomic festival is dedicated to two of its most outstanding dishes: the fish ‘caldeirada’ and the ‘lañadas’ sardines. And we cannot forget the well- renowned goose barnacles of Cape Ortegal, of an excellent quality.
